The different types of surveys:
Pre-installation:
Predictive survey: Using software to predict the coverage and performance of a WiFi network based on the physical layout and characteristics of the location.
Passive surveys: Collecting data on existing WiFi networks and signal strengths by passively listening to wireless signals in the environment.
On-site survey: Physically placing temporary access points at strategic locations to measure the actual coverage and performance levels before permanent installation takes place.
Post-installation:
Validation surveys (Active): Active measurements of network performance after installation to verify compliance with the specified requirements.
Remediation surveys: Identifying any issues or deficiencies after installation and proposing solutions to improve performance.
